Layout
Inside
Villa Katerina is a welcoming and comfortable villa in a peaceful part of the Pollença countryside. Its layout – with most of the rooms on the ground floor – makes it a very welcoming house for families with young children, or anyone with walking difficulties.
Inside, the house is light and bright with white walls and tiled floors. On the ground floor there’s a suite of living rooms: a lounge, dining area and kitchen. In the lounge there’s a pale sofa and chairs around an open fireplace, and satellite tv and a dvd and stereo. In the dining area there’s a long table and chairs and a dresser. And in the kitchen there’s lots of storage space in new, white-painted wooden units with granite work-surfaces. There are appliances including a dishwasher and a microwave, and laundry facilities in a separate utility area. Two of the bedrooms are also on the ground floor – two twin rooms. Both are air-conditioned and simply furnished with pine beds, wardrobes and pale linen. These rooms share a full bathroom with a bath and a shower. A staircase (not spiral as in picture - wide new staircase with bannister) leads out of the lounge to a really lovely double bedroom with antique Mallorcan furniture. This room also has an en-suite shower bathroom and a terrace with fantastic views over farmland to the mountains.Outside
Villa Katerina has really well-designed and relaxing gardens, full of palms, cacti, Mediterranean plants and tall trees. There’s a lovely pool surrounded by a sun-terrace and wide lawns – and there’s a pool-shower here too. A covered terrace runs along the back of the house, overlooking the garden and pool. This is a lovely place to sit and eat from breakfast time right through into the evening, looking across to the distant mountains. The gardens are also very private – with only the driveway of one other house nearby. And there’s also plenty of car-parking space on the graveled driveway at the front of the villa which has gates on.The spacious garden and the gentle countryside all around are also very family-friendly.
